I saw your face written in runes of abandonment
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
Out in the rain again, no room in the big tent
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
Still in that place that you were ready to run from
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
With that post-traumatic gaze, oh and your heart going bum-bum
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
Alright, ok - how do you feel at the end of the day?
It's 7:10 - time to get up and do it all again
Get up and do it again
And I read just the other day, about another fucking corporation
Doing shit again
Nefarious and dark shit
Profiteering off the dying, falsifying
Buying everyone and everything in sight
With a voice to say this might not be right
So you think you're finally seeing your own end
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
You banged your head and only banged up your own head
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one
Ooh, babe, you're not the only one

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
